I’m close to retiring and while I should have started tying and fly fishing a long time ago I’ve got the bug to start now and I’m real interested in tying for crappie and your videos are outstanding so thanks for all of them that you’ve done. I do have a question and it concerns tippets. What size ranges do you use for your crappie flies?

As for answering your question, I use 4lb fluorocarbon tippet for open water or minimal structures and 6-8lb fluorocarbon tippet near structures. Thank you for watching!
