Beaver floatplane final report

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has published its final report into the collision with water of DHC-2 Beaver, VH-NOO, in Jerusalem Bay, Hawkesbury River, New South Wales on 31 December 2017.
The ATSB has made a number of safety recommendations as a result of the investigation including for the fitment of carbon monoxide detectors in all piston-engine aircraft, as well as making it mandatory for all smaller passenger-carrying aircraft (under 5,700 kg) to be equipped with lightweight audio, visual and data recording devices.
