It's so wonderful to see how stable Huckleberry is most of the time. I remember when we learned that he had some neurological problems and I wondered how difficult it would be for him to be able to act like a beaver, and how hard it would be for him to be healthy and happy, but he navigated those loose boxes so well without falling over. I'm so happy he's doing so well and is so healthy despite his disabilities. I'm so happy he's got such a wonderful place to live and has had such expert care. Thank you so much Jessi for all you do!

It might be helpful to think about why you want that type of parrot in particular. Is it the type of bird best suited to your environment? The kind that will have the best life with you and what you can provide? Try to think of the animal before yourself, as particularly with birds a lot of people buy for apperance rather than the actual reality of caring for it. If you are worried that 6-8hrs alone during the day is too much, you might want to look into birds that will be happy in pairs when you're not home?

@@susanblue3694 Thanks a lot! And yes, I have been thinking a lot about how a life with a bird will be. I have been looking at larger cages and a lot of toys so it will be busy. I'm just not sure which bird personality fits beginners. I dont want a bird that needs so much attention that 6-8 hours is too long and it will start biting and plucking feathers. I'm still doing my research and I have a long way to go, thank you kindly for the advice!!❤🦜
