I had a similar incident happen just like you did except I didn't have mine tied off opps So I ended up cutting a larger hole in the ide and using a rope and trebble gaff to fish my trap set and beaver out of 9' of water. Took me about an hour and a half but got it and it had a 52 3/4 lbs in the trap. It was over some pretty thin ice it was their run to the feed pile. Big lesson learned there😂
