Awesome video. That’s tough trapping through ice. We are just waiting for the ice to melt a bit more here in BC Canada then I’ll take my students out to set for beavers and make some more videos for the channel

Awesome! Love that you are taking students out to expose them to trapping. Ice trapping is twice the effort and 1/2 the success but we love everything else that comes with being able to walk through a frozen marsh

If you shave some of the bark from the bait to show the green layer it will draw more attention maybe.

Are those Maine HUNTING BOOTS ? A chainsaw CAN WORK FOR HOLES TOO. I wonder if a battery operated chainsaw might work if ice not too thick. Some us an hand ice saw as well. Smart having traction on your waders!
