Always pick up a few tips. I have the same calipers... The battery ran out.... Its like I had forgotten how use them by reading the scale... 😂 I hate doing the tie rods.

Is there a trick to putting the brass bushings into the steering rack or rear diff housing? They will not go in at all. They just rest on top. There are 2 oval shaped holes inside where they sit. Not sure if mine is defective or I'm missing something.

There is a slot section on the arm so you will have to drop the ring into it straight then flip it so it stays in.

@Beaver's Hobby Okay, and do I insert them from the inside of the steering rack where the knuckles sit or do I start from the outside? I'm assuming outside.

@@ZombifexGaming I don't think the side is matter that much as it can go in on one side so you can just try and find one that works. Skip to 19:25 and 20:16 to see how.

@Beaver's Hobby It was incredibly annoying but thank you for your help, Beaver! I have the suspension complete, just need to mount the electronics and I'm good. How are those new DS Racing tires working out? Ever figure out how to make the wheels match the tire since they're a little small?

@@ZombifexGaming Glad you made it! As for the new DS tyres for 1/24, some rims like PN Racing can be trimmed down so they'll look fine. Or you can mount the tyres towards other side, that'll work too.

Hi, I just got mine and rear swing shafts snapped while attaching the wheels on. Is there replacements? 😫

Yes, you can replace them with standard Mini-Z AWD swing shafts.

You can also install megnatic mont to the body, that way you can basically put on any body, even a jada or willy's 1/24 diecast bodies. I have one of those willys diecast model and the car actually drifts better and more stable.

Is it really so crucial to clean the bearings before the build?

Not really, some cars have clean bearings out of the bags. You can do it just to be sure but it's not really necessary.

Hi Sir, what is the compatible differential for it, also the other plastic gears? All I can usually find are the plates and metal parts but not the other plastic replacement parts like gears and stock differential. I was leaning on buying this as my first RWD(w/ electronics) I really like the Atomic DRZV2 but from your reviews, I think this is the most practical for a newbie with limited funding...nicely manufactured parts and simple, adjustable...just assemble, fine tune as you go and very adjustable wheelbase unlike others. The differential is essentially Mini-Z AWD diff so you have quite a lot of options from Mini-Z standard diff, Mini-Z ball differential, Mini-Q ball differential and also Atomic and GL diffs. The pinion gear is just plastic gear 16T 0.5mod pitch which you can find pretty much all over ebay. As for the spur gear, it's 94mm wheelbase gear for Mini-Q. This one is on Aliexpress. I recently fitted the ball differential from Mini-Q with rear soft springs from Mini-Z AWD MA010 and the handling is so much better. But I have to warn you this car is a hit and miss for some people. I've talked to a few that can't get it working right. This is the same for all cars though but keep in mind that it might not be as easy as you expect but just take your time, be patience and everything will turn out alright.

@@BeaversHobby thanks so much for this complete infos Sir! I’m actually just on my second wltoys to thinker and compare different set up but definitely will remain AWD. I don’t want to spend more on them to convert to RWD . Now , I’m still in process of gathering informations about this HGD1 though I already got the most I could get for now, from you and your vids sir! 1/10 would be a lot cheaper but would have a permanent problem and issue for me, the space and place to enjoy it with😂😂😂 thanks as always sir, more power and keep safe!

Can you turn this car into a touring car?

Yes bit it's not advisable. There's a better RWD touring car at lower price, the Atomic AMR. And if you want this style of chassis there's the car that is AWD version of this one, Mini-Q Q5OP which is actually the original chassis.

@@Jumpman323 Since you already have the car you can just turn down the steering EPA or put the steering ball head in a lower hole of the servo horn and then change the tyres and you'll have a touring car. You can also change the differential to Mini-Q or Mini-Z ball differential (they are the same but Mini-Q's is cheaper) and you'll have a full fledged touring car.

Yes, they should. Considering the price of Q5OP (what this car is based on) vs Q6 (plastic version), if there was a plastic kit it should be around $60 to $70.

Beaver's Hobby ,haha yes they are very expensive but great fun in small area ,I have both rmx 2.0 and fully hopped up fxx-d I might sell fxx-d to fund drz maybe just waiting to see what else is out there, I have wltoys rwd “beaver setup” it’s got me hooked 👍🏼 thanks to you 😂
