As a long time Beavis and Butt-Head fan who will still be one after I make this comment, I have to break my silence on this and offer an opinion that not many people are open to hear: I don't like the way Tom Anderson gets treated sometimes. Both my grand fathers were World War II vets. There is something about it that just hit's "Home" for me. I know Mike Judge doesn't mean it, or maybe even I'm the person he's trying to reach out to. But it bothers me. I'm sorry....

A lot of old episodes intentionally show Mr Anderson being abused/mistreated despite serving in multiple wars. It's definitely an intentional criticism of how we treat veterans.

Indeed, my maternal grandfather was a WWII vet as well. Anderson is very honorable and fought in a war we actually won. I do get amused at his confusion and rambling off on "back in the day, I used to..." while Beavis and Butthead just wander off. But yeah, I wish he would be more of a badass veteran, even if it's just a few times :)
