Wow! That's a lot of water over the falls. The high narrow falls is named Tueeulala. I backpacked the lake Vernon loop through there a long time ago. I don't remember any bridges being there, but maybe there was one. I parked at the lot and hiked in along the reservoir trail. I didn't know the parking lot was reserved for San Francisco residents only haha. Fortunately I was a resident of San Francisco haha. I don't know if things have changed since then. I camped at Rancheria. I didn't go down to the falls though. Rancheria then was black bear city. Caution! Lake Vernon was beautiful. With the water as it is now, it might be hard to get there. Thanks for the memories!

It is beautiful and provides water to SanFrancisco but damning this valley was wrong. Just think another valley like Yosemite but flooded. Can you imagine if they had done it to Yosemite?
@dbwaner Жыл бұрын
It is a common piece of nonsense that Hetch Hetchy Valley is ‘another Yosemite Valley’. Just use your eyes, it has none of the soaring granite flanks of YV. It’s all about the geology- YV granite is some of the hardest rock on the planet, it supports enormous weight without getting all crushed and cracked, which is why it’s so toweringly epic- and a rock climbing paradise. HH Valley is a lovely place but it shares none of that. No one would travel half way around the world to climb there, even if the lake were drained. Meanwhile the lake is quite picturesque and IMO improves the place.

Incredible place, could have been another Yosemite but sfo needed drinking water? Got your feet wet on this one. Went to the s. fork of the yuba today, man is it flowing.😊

How hard is the hike to the bridge and the waterfall?
@BeCCaWhere2GoNext5 ай бұрын
Alltrails rates this trail as moderate, but i think it is easier than that. However, the elevation gain is still 1,100', so be prepared. Thanks for watching and Happy Trail!
