I went to the same route last weekend with my family, Hoover wilderness is a hidden gem. I am going to hike thousand island lake from rush creek trail next week. It seems you went there early this summer. I love the thousand island lake and banner peak hiking video clip. I might consider to add Banner peak but will see. Barney lake looks amazing, a sandy beach on one end, right to the base of the mountains along the side! Then it just gets better! Looks like great camping, and those high alpine meadows -- so pretty. The white granite, green vegetation, and blue sky, are all so beautiful. Great adventure!
