BECK is a manga, which was later made into an anime under the name BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. It was created by mangaka Harold Sakuishi and was originally published by Kodansha in Monthly Shonen Magazine. It tells the story of a group of Japanese teenagers who form a rock band. The manga is currently licensed in the USA by Tokyopop. The series has also spawned three guidebooks. BECK won the 2002 Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen.
The original 26-episode anime television series was aired on Japan's TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2005. It was directed by Osamu Kobayashi, animated by Madhouse and produced by Takeshi Shukuri and Yoshimi Nakajima.

Awesome references and tributes in this anime! Chiba - RATM Taira - RHCP Ryusuke - Hendrix Dying Breed (When they played My World Down) - Oasis I've Got A Feeling - Beatles I'm sure there was a Nirvana tribute somewhere too, if I remember correctly XD There was even a Shawshank Redemption reference in the scene where Koyuki plays 50 C Wisdom at the school XD

@hero2k6 I think Ryuusuke is more like Jimmy Page/Hendrix combination, you have the blues side of Ryuusuke, Hendrix's side, but if see Ryuusuke's style, always Les Paul, long hair, you tottaly see a Jimmy Page there, even some guy in the anime says that he's "the japanese Jimmy Page". And for Nirvana, there's the Jaguar, "the dream", where Kurt Cobain appears, and the Crocodile Cafe (last live house), where Nirvana played sometimes and they show for a second Kurt Cobain's face.

Exactly as dark raven says. I doubt you could do better. If you don't like it then don't listen to it. There are plenty of covers of the song that sound a lot worse than this. IMO I think the accent adds something, though it doesn't compare to the original. Nice to hear something different once in awhile.

This is just my opinion but you do realise that the original version of the song cannot even be compared to the cover...especially the singing since it was sung by no other than the legendary Beatles legends John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Yup this is originally an Beatles song. Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka voice actor voice cannot be compared with the legendary Beatles.
