How can one person churn out so many great songs, one after another after another. And despite the wide assortment of sounds you can always tell you're listening to a Beck song. If anyone actually ever deserved a Grammy I'd say it'd be Beck.

Nothing flashy here, the music is the performance. Beck is and always will be an artist, that's why he has won 5 grammys, that's why he won album of the year over Beyonce. It's music for the sake of music, not album sales. My favorite musician, full stop.

Morning Phase can transport me to specific times and places, evoke long-lost memories in a way no other music has for a long, long time. I played a lot of rock, folk, blues with my dad growing up, and hearing 'Say Goodbye' when Seeger passed away was overwhelming (inspired my playlist). Thanks for the cherished memories, new sensations Beck.

Shame on all of you who gave a thumbs down for Beck. So, it isn't his old funk blues rap, but it's bloody beautiful and so much talent. He can play every instrument, piano, accordion, guitar, harmonica.... and writes like a poet. I bow to you Beck & have admired all the changes you've ever made to your music. 👍👍👍

@tendaimutepfa733510 жыл бұрын
does not matter
@RyanJamesOfficial10 жыл бұрын
TENDAI MUTEPFA It really does, as far as artistry goes. Beyoncé is a great singer and performer, but Beck is a great artist.
@tendaimutepfa733510 жыл бұрын
understand what you are saying, you are correct but my point is in regards to the end product cause at the end of the day that's what really matters, when you listen to a song or buy a product at the end of the day it won't matter if it was made /writtten by 1 or 10 people. by the way that beyonce album was not great either, i wrote that comment because people always believe if you write/ compose and play an instrument it automatically makes you greater than the next singer performer which is not always the case. At the end of the musicians will respect you Yes but the common listener who is 8 out 10 people don't care who wrote or played on the song as long as they like it
@RyanJamesOfficial10 жыл бұрын
I agree it is not always the case, and the end product does matter. In Becks case I think he deserves the praise. That is just an opinion of mine, though a lot of people share that opinion, that doesn't make it my right to force Becks music on anyone who doesn't enjoy it. It's hard to disagree that the majority don't care, perhaps that is why I found Becks win to be so refreshing.

This however has some insane sound I think the audio guys on the show did an amazing job. This is a really great song.
@tommywm247 жыл бұрын
Very few artists can cross music genres and make it seem normal. Bowie could do it, going from Glam Rock to RnB and Soul. Beck is also another musician that can seamlessly transition from genres. In the span of his career he's gone from Indie -> Country -> Rock -> Rap/Hip Hop -> Dance -> Pop and now back to some sort of Country/Indie hybrid. So glad the Grammy's did the right thing for a change and rewarded a true artist.
