I realize it isn’t the issue here but I see this to often that guys try to equalize the tanks thru the crossover AFTER the filters. Trying to equalize backwards thru a dirty filter doesn’t work. Equalize the tanks then go thru one filter only. Nice find Steve stay well.

If the filter was added after where the two tanks connect, then there would only be 1 filter to mess with. Even a 1000 gallon tank only needs 1 filter.

Got a Miller mobile home furnace with a Beckett burner. I set the thermostat to 70. When it gets the room to temp it shuts off and on and run about 20 secs. It will keep clicking on and off repeatedly like that for about 5 minutes. I just vacuumed dust out of the thermostat on the wall and the thermostat control box on the furnace. Also snugged the all the screws. The reset button isn't tripping, but I did see a bunch of red dust around the button. Have you ran into a similar situation?

Is the high pitch noise the pump getting restricted oil flow? Mine was making that noise, then I put oil treatment in my 1985 underground tank before filling it. The noise quieted down and it ran smoother. I assume a full tank of oil also helps the pump pull oil easier. I will be putting the tigerloop in and eliminate the return line plus have warmer oil.

What causes these things to trip out for no reason and then work fine after? About a month and a half ago our boiler tripped our. Hit reset once, it’s been good since then until today. Today same deal. Reset and running fine. If it was you would you leave it? Or start checking flow, filter, spark etc.

start with good service ,good or new filters and good oil flow , clean burner head .new nozzle and good spark reset electrodes if there off, and proper air adjustment . a lot of times that will fix problem .. start there first

That’s what I was thinking too. The pump is probably about to go bad. That coupler is similar to the coupler on my relative’s washing machine. I couldn’t figure out why her coupler kept stripping out until I saw that she was overloading the washing machine with too many clothes.

Yup. I use absorbent towels and clean up any spots with special powder which smells good.

Steve, I'm befuddled. You cleaned and replaced nozzle - which was great, but you didn't have oil flow to it before you did that work. I've seen you before going after the pump, and cleaning that up, then chasing after the coupler when flow didn't develop. Good job though. Like your new Truck!!!

it has a delayed oil valve on it .. i had oil coming out jet tube after delayed oil valve timed out.so it was not a oil issue
