He was clearly gesturing to have the sign come down and you can even see him smile before he offers his hand! The LA Riot Squad are obviously huge front bottoms.

its also one of the most skilled sports. think about it. everyone knows its harder to acquire skill with your feet rather than hands. and the amount of endurance you need to play is one of the best

Give the guy a break, I am not a Beckham fan, but a fan of all soccer. No one can blame him for is wanting to stay with AC Milan. I love MLS but we have to come to grips with reality and the level of play is not up to par with Italy, England, Spain, Germany or most European leagues. He wants to be the best he can be, and surrounding himself with a higher level of play is the way to do it. I understand not wanting him back, but LA should feel honored to have one of the greats playing for them.

First off, we do not represent cigarettes... second, I've lived in Leeds and been to a match at Elland Road WHEN they were still top flight.... I had a great experience and really friendly people in the city.

It's actually his job to ignore the jeers, occupational hazard. If fans weren't supposed to cheer or jeer, they would play in front of empty stadiums.
@AnnaOconner12315 жыл бұрын
wow the media tried to spin this story like beckham was angry and gonna have some words with the guy from the crowd. But from this camera you can see that he was just trying to shake his hand and be nice.

Doesn't matter, in U.S.A it's soccer. The NFL is football, a sport that real men play.

That's because here in America we call it soccer. We already have a football league and nothing is better than the NFL.

ok , the strangest thing in this video was that the moment Beckham realized that the guy jumped and he knew he was held by some security people only then did he hold out his hand and it was just lip service because he knew very well that he was acting with his outstretched hand and the guy couldnt get near him. It was bad acting to save his face i think

see i used to be a die hard Becks fan.. but when you think about it... if he was really interested in "quality futbol" then why come to galaxy in the first place. Ill tell u why.. cause of fame and 250 mil which he is not worth. He also set himself up by saying he didnt wanna come back to galaxy and when u say that, obviously you're fans arent gonna welcome you back with hugs and kisses. he got what he deserved plain and simple. Donovan hit the nail on the head..

Yeah either smiling due to the guy getting tossed or realizing that he was making a huge PR mistake (he handled this the worst possible way) and decided to attempt to act like he was joking. in the words of his native folk that was just cheeky? i think is the word i'm looking for.

that isnt true, theres lots of haters on soccer, and they are justified, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, its just that it is so widespread because you can play soccer anywhere, all you need is a ball. you can set up boundaries using backpacks, sticks, rocks, flags etc. other sports actually require more apparatus.

@Arzarni that may be true, but that doesn't make it excusable to ask to be loaned every season. and playing all those minutes in europe really helped his world cup hopes, didn't they.
@benl0pez15 жыл бұрын
David Beckham is an excellent player who's skills are without parity in both his teammates and the MLS. We know it, he knows it, the whole world knows it. But he has said things in the past, done things in the present, which have been insulting to Galaxy fans. If he wants to play on loan with other clubs, fine, but he should at least be here for the entire season he is contracted for. I still like the guy and want him to stay, but it's frustrating at times.
@AnnaOconner12315 жыл бұрын
by the way i think those fans were very rude but you can't say all americans are . As i recall many people from England were pretty harsh on becks back when he got a red card in the world cup.

true, but most kids tend to play soccer as a child, well i did and i was pretty damn good, but it got boring quick.. swimming is MUCH harder than soccer you need endurance for both sports, but like i said the apparatus needed to play is more widespread for soccer

@xshawnyxboyx Dude he had to do whatever it was necessary to stay in the English National Team...and that meant playing on a higher level. We both know MLS is not considered to be on the same level as the Italian League or EPL or any other leagues in Europe. His manager and his teammates knew this and agreed. Who are we to say otherwise?
@tonytocanova15 жыл бұрын
I don't get it, stuff like this happens all the time: A fan is angry and yells at the player, player gets angry answers back... no one got hurt so move on.. good game by the way DC UNITED - BARRA BRAVA for life son!

i never complained about america mate. i just took exception to a few comments made on here. it was you who attacked europeans, and i took exception to what you said. i dont think i was being unreasonable. your points are fair enough, but just as we are not talking about inventions, i am not talking about wars which occured half a century ago (which i dont care about). I cant blame beckham for wanting to play at one of the worlds top clubs, any1 would want to be at the top of their profession.

Oh and by the way? Soccer was a term coined in ENGLAND. By a man who went to OXFORD. It's an abbreviation for Associated Football. It just happens to be one of those Oxford "-er" words thought up in the late 1880s. So who the fuck cares what we call the sport? Ireland, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand all call it soccer too.

@epicdeuce15 жыл бұрын
LOL. That is extremely debatable. But even if it were true, which it most likely isnt. Many other civilizations were making the stuff around the same time and it was being invented in isolated societies all over. So end the end it boils down to a "whoopdee shit."

@Arzarni Ruud Gullit = absolute failure. That was Becks who brought in Gullit. Why in the hell is a player and his publicists deciding who the manager should be? He is getting 6 mil in salary alone and played what, less than 50 games for the team in 3 1/2 seasons??! This is the first season in his fifth year that he's 'been with the team since the beginning of the season' which he wasn't even.
