Ever think about coating your board to protect against water, especially when flying in the snow? As for the drone that had the 360 arm on it, it crashed because it was thrown out of balance too far for the on board gyros to correct, not the only time people have tried that and it seems fine for one moment and then the next it erratic and noses over. Hope this helps from others experiences.

Try setting up the hammock a bit looser next time and lay down on a diagonal. about a 30 degree angle with the ground is ideal. It will be a lot more comfy and easier to get in and out out. (I slept in a hammock instead of a bed for 5 years)

Cause it looks nice in photos 😅. There’s a rotor brake you can use to stop the rotor in any position you want. It’s perpendicular to this when we hangar it.

The vortex ring state is a little different on quads, mostly because basically every single quad is capable of just powering through it, so you don't *have* to drop out the bottom/side. The latency in the system, however, can exacerbate the situation. Switching to 6S voltage for increased response, dropping filters down, and sticking with low pitch and lightweight props can vastly improve propwash handling in these 5" quads. those johnny props never really impressed me all that much TBH - major performance hit for something you can get close to by just dropping feedforward values really low. Man - i've lost entire setups like that before ... i do NOT take it in stride :)
