Wonderful to see dear ole Shag on this video. I knew him well through working with him, and still miss him to this day. A true gentleman who was taken away from us far too early. When I was entertaining I worked with Mike many times. He was really popular and the really lovely thing is that what he was like on stage was not really an act he was just the same offstage really, a lovely gentle man. No matter who he worked with, even though they were normally the main act he always made the support acts like myself feel wanted and very welcome. I was very sad when I heard that he had died. There will never be another Shag Connors, one of the westcountry's best

this song is soo cool, ive been a fan of The Wurzels for years but havent heard of Shag Conners untill recentley, its a shame the aint any more of Shags songs on hear... =-)

mick was my uncle !! and i remember when i was younger our xmas family gatherings at my aunty eileens was always fun and lively ,i never saw him as often as i should have !! great looking at old videos tho and seeing how much my other uncle and aunty actually look like him !! lol

Lord Posho That’s odd cos shag was a style of haircut and a dance, as well as a term for tobacco! I took it he called himself Shag due to his wild shaggy hair and huge sideburns!
