Shouldnt eq be placed after reverb?? I mean that gonna cut some muddy and high harshness of reverb if we put it afterwards..just started as a beginner..so confused..
@BeckySaifMusic3 жыл бұрын
You can do both pre and post eq. I generally would do subtractive eq (where you take things away) before effects so that no additional "noise" is sent to the effects. By all means you can eq after the effects as well, just bare in mind that the post eq takes into account the signal WITH processing, so it wil be harder to clean up. Hope that helps!

Can I use this technique on kick drums to give it space as well. Love this content Becky the videos you create are so inspiring!!! Thank you!!!
@BeckySaifMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the comment and question. Generally I would avoid adding any reverb or delays to kick drums as they operate in the low sub frequencies where you really don't want to have reverb and time based effects. However that being said, you could try this on a kick drum layer which sits in the mid to upper mid frequency. It could be a nice way to process the higher frequency layer that sits on top of your sub layer. Hope that helps! Happy music making 🤙

Could sidechain the lead and chords exact way that u do? For hardstyle,? For evrythn?

Shouldn’t the EQ come after the reverb ?
@BeckySaifMusic2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Depends on the purpose. EQing a signal before reverb ensures that no low frequency content enters the reverb plugin.
