Spaced repetition always come up when you research good ways to study and learn new things. It really does work.

Yes, it's worked wonders for me. There are just too many things to remember without using systems like this.

Anki is soooo powerful. i tried anki app but with anki being free except the mobile app, i found it to be soooo much more worth while. I use Anki every day for so many things. Programming, learning new languages, studying for tests, ADHD reminders like reminders to reach out and socialize, or to remember tough life lessons I've learned in the past so the lessons are still relevant and top of mind. Lots of applications for them especially with close deletion and image occlusion!

Remnote is an amazing alternative -> www.remnote.io/

@@colinhdd4357 i heavily considered it, but with me keeping my notes in obsidian for other purposes i preferred to consolidate notes in 1 app and have a separation of concerns in another app for spaced repetition. :)

@@colinhdd4357 Thanks. I haven't tried that one before.

There's an add-on to import Obsidian into Anki

I would definitely stick to Anki, it's open source and free. I easily place code snippets in Anki. No need to pay $10 for non open source.

As I am leveling up as developer. This was much required video for me. I was misled by other AnkiApp. Thank you Gwen!

Going to give mem.dev a try! I'm learning Vue, and just today as I was going through lessons, I kept thinking "I'm learning so many new things, I'm going to forget most of them before I get a chance to use them …" Jotting it all down on flash cards seems like a good solution!

Thanks for the great video. One request is that if you could show a few examples of how you used it earlier, it would be really helpful.

Yeah, it was an interesting project but I don't think it exists anymore... someone needs to make a browser plugin for Anki!

Just looking at the web dev roadmap at the beginning gave me anxiety. It seems something completely unattainable for a beginner.

Yes, it's daunting. Just one step at a time...

Do you know if mem.dev uses the same algorithm for spaced repetition that anki does? or does it use one of the newer algorithms supermemo does?

Only if I knew of Anki and how to use it when I was 15😅.... never too late I guess😇. Mem.dev is good but just because of the Chrome and code editor extension.

Anki is the best for this tho

Yeah, I use mostly Anki now, but I have certain types of decks inside my Obsidian.
