OMG this is such a great idea. Here "Korean BBQ" os soo expensive because you are also paying for the experience. This seems like a cool way for someone like teenage kids to experience it. Ahh now I am thinking about so much bonding time at family dinner. 😱

@@dannycamberos3604 they sell it in Asian markets. Its in the fridge section. Its kind of like half cooked, like fresh pasta. So its packaged and in the fridge. It looks like a white block. You have to boil it to make it soft. Ask an employee for Vietnamese rice paper. They will show you.

I bought the rice paper at Zion market but its hard and crumbly when I get a piece, I think because it's too cold in the fridge. Did you had to prepare it before you can use it? I put mine in the microwave for a few seconds and it came out perfect, it got hot but I let it cool down, is there a right way to do it?

What is the name of the thick vietnamese rice paper (more specifically than banh)? I thought I found a Japanese version of it in a market and I tried to soak it in water to soften but it didn't work. So then, I tried to boil it and when I turned off the heat, it turned into mochi mush. I'm not sure if I got the wrong thing or cooked it too long.
@cathythekimchi

Maybe it was like a gelatin you bought from a Japanese store. I don't think they usually sell banh there!
@DavidPhamFire

Looks like banh uot or banh cuon. Sounds like you bought banh trang which is used for spring rolls. Banh Trang is supposed to be dipped in water until wet and within a minute it softens to be used as a wrap.

Wow! This looks so good! It totally sucks for me cuz the closest Zion Market is a good hour away :( Also, I'm a total Banchan snob which is one of the good things I like about eating BBQ at a restaurant but I guess you could load up on different Banchan at the market too. Or make some at home. Another thing is I can't have KBBQ without the Sesame oil dipping sauce which I believe is just the oil with salt and pepper if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, great video! Keep making more!
