This is 5 years old and still so valuable. I did a recent recruiter course on LinkedIn Learning and this has far more information in about a fifth of the time.

Watched this in 2020...GREAT info that’s still very relevant for conducting smarter, more effective candidate searches! Took copious notes 📝!

I'm watching this video in 2023, and it has helped me recognize the wrong decisions I made when it came to shortlisting candidates for client submissions. Thanks for this video, it provides perfect information for me as a recruiter

WoW! Viewed this for the first time yesterday/today and applaud Glen's mastery of content still relevant today despite much automation in the Boolean search string space with companies such as SeekOut. Thanks for the simple easy to follow narrative and best practices. Chapeau!!

How do you find candidates?. Im on free version on linkedIn which does not allow me to search for people.
@candicekirkpatrick51205 жыл бұрын
@@ZibuyileRamasoko you can do a basic search, but unless you are connected you cannot send a message. For example Java in Chicago into the search bar. But to really get the power of LI you will need the recruiter version.

I watched this on 1/18/2022 and it was great information. I am someone who has been using boolean searches in my research and recruiting since 2012, but this is boolean on steroids. Thank you!

The fact that this only has 3500 views is both disappointing and also exciting. Disappointing in the fact that a lot of recruiters do not take advantage of this information, and exciting because only a few recruiters will take action with these tips.

Agreed! I"m not even a recruiter. I came across this video today (2+ yrs after it posted) after being laid off after 9 years with Cisco & wanting to learn how to update my Linkedin profile to help others see my skills and talents. I even sent the author a thank you message on Linkedin. This is a great video!

This is absolutely insane, I just started recruiting and realized I was developing good habits and doing almost all of the right things throughout the process ONCE I am able to source and get a candidate on the phone. This video blew my mind and I took an incredible amount of notes on it, and even plan on sorting these notes to make them more easily referred to. We all got hired on as Associates at my firm and were trained, but none of this was brought up at all and I definitely think I will have a competitive advantage once I practice not only against my fellow recruiters, but against the market. 100% this is amazing especially with the way the job market it. Thank you.

QUESTION: At the 25:30 mark of the video on the topic of implicit search Glen talks about the Any Group filter and using that after a search. Did that Any Group feature go away? I can query results through My Groups , but there is no where to enter additional groups or simply type in a word like Java and have related groups pop up. (I'm a recruiter lite member....maybe I need a higher level subscription??)

It is important to understand that the fundamental thing to achieve success in large companies is to have quality and that people know how to join the projects for a good implementation, these are the strategies that a good recruitment should expect, they ask questions about attitudes and the way in which they are handled by making an adequate analysis.
