@@Capiosus Well, I wasn't saying they're equal. I actually do vastly prefer Let's Game It Out over GrayStillPlays. Besides, I was referring to the old Gray who actually tried (although Josh might actually be better even than the old Gray, but at least the old Gray did experiment/try to break games too). Most of us knows how it is with Gray's videos nowadays. (Although I still like his Happy Wheels videos, to be fair lol. He does try to break/cheat a board occasionally.)

I think that's the double edged sword of VHS as an aesthetic making a resurgence with analogue horror in that it's often made with people who never actually watched VHS tapes. It can be nitpicky at times but it can end up super immersion breaking when the filters make it hard to see or having to suspend your disbelief with tech advancements the medium never had

Feels to me more like a computer that loads the program from tape. Which isn't anything unusual, but usually the programs came on audio tapes. And while the VHS format was a thing beginning from the late 70s, a home computer with 4 KB RAM is very very low. Yes, machines like the Applie II or Commodore PET did exist with 4 KB, said apple sold for the equivalent of over $6000 and the PET still for over 3800 in today's money. And by the tome home computers became reasonably priced, they had more.

Oh my god this is the most annoyingly accurate game ever... I work retail and we get to go over lectures about shit like "If the bus breaks down, how can you do better to get to work on time?" and it always annoyed the shit out of me because there's shit out of your control that WILL make you late for work. They always talk about how your team will have to pick up the slack. But something tells me if my boss ever wanted to do something as frivolous as golf we'd be expected to just go along with it as if it's unacceptable for a worker to see a dying relative compared to the necessity for a manager to go golfing. Honestly my job isn't that bad, but something like that just hit close to home for some reason. The whole idea that you have to model your entire life around your work rather than fit your work into your life (which is something they do tell us to do with time) is a bit... narcisistic on the employers department. As if your whole life now revolves around coming to work not only on time every time with almost no faults but also excelling every task despite the close to minimum wage you get paid. I still blame America.

I can totally relate. I have department managers that are nice people and even given their title they are still well below store managers. One of mine had a family death recently and they pushed him until he said he’d come in early and make sure orders and inventory were done so he could still make it to the funeral. It’s awful practices and it happens all over the place. A retail job should never take the place of your life, it’s a job, and there’s other jobs that will treat you better.

I like that this little employee training video kind of thing had a little dating sim feel to it with Chel. Like she was getting to know you while you were using those booths. Really tied it together when she wanted to form a union. And since bill went belly up that only leaves the two of you lol. Cute way of saying she wanted to go out. But yeah Dr. Brain here really wanted them GO GETTERs. Too bad he went insane from watching his own video. Though maybe he mutated cause of his own brain pills. He probably got them from a real [BIGSHOT] and wanted to make deals with GO GETTERS and become a [BIGSHOT] himself. Also probably mutated cause he took the deal. Bet he didnt lose much [KROMER] I do love that chel actually rode that copy machine lol.

I forgot about Chel (not like _really_ forgot, but just slipped my mind). I actually liked Morris (from the previous game) quite a lot, because he's just so pure, and, I think Chel is sort of like that too. A nice person whom the audience can relate to, kind of like a tether that stops the audience from hating everyone and everything in the game world, and just go "meh" and become completely uncaring (I can feel this way sometimes with these games). (Bonus points for saving us, doing something she said she would do.)

15:34 I did that at a Christmas party when we were playing Mario Party. I had never played before and I was open about it in case I embarrassed myself. Everyone else had been playing for years so I kinda just sat back and played watching everyone, they’d steal from each other and I’d play along stealing from the thief. I won by a country mile. I destroyed them at the mini games and stole everything only after someone stuff was already taken “don’t worry I’ll kick they ass for you, avenge you” only to be doing it to win. No one caught on until it was too late

Unrelated but does anyone know when the full game Slay the princess will come out? I am especially excited for the route of the witch. Minor spoiler: you start the route by pretending to mean no harm first and attacking the princess later. The witch then questions your true intentions and seems to know what is really going on. Man that full game is going to be awesome when it is updated!

@@aquablast3155 Nice so we don't have to wait long. How we see the princess completely depends on how we treat her. She can simply be an innocent girl for us to be romanced, or a terrible creature beyond our comprehension. Now I think it is similar with the hero himself. When he further follows the routes both the different voices (contrarian, opportunist, etc.) and the narrator can shape him into different beings. One voice I think was the hunter? Anyway he was really obsessed with fighting and could shape the hero into a real bloodthirsty monster. With the voice of the smitten on the other hand it could turn out that the hero is a beautiful prince, who is merely cursed to look like this. And if you follow the narrator you maybe become a mindless puppet without any control or something... But hey that's just a theory... A GAME THEORY!
