Hi, loved the video. I have a question. Do galleries just show the artist's work or do they provide presentation for them? like some sort of an agent. And can they block their deals meaning an artist cannot sell except through the gallery. thanks.

Hey Short answer, it depends on the contract and the gallery both are possible but you can always negotiate Usually the gallery will have exclusivity over the pieces that they ask from you for the entirety of the contract which could be a year or a long lasting relationship They could ask for a percentage in a region of the world as their marketing could be in play here or a full exclusivity for a definite period of time And yes they do present their artists of course and try to make them sellable as it s in their own interest but don t expect them to do your PR etc. When you re not having an exhibit
