I agree there is a great shift in how to sell art. I would like to hear more about how art is appreciated. I am both an artist, but I find myself collecting. I've seen art prices DROP dramatically during COVID... It's great to see this given the long term surreal prices for a fine painting, print, or drawing..

What artist has dropped? The market is very different depending on the type of art.

I never mentioned a particular artist; although I have seen and recently purchased photography at auction for pennies on the dollar. I'm partial to Diane Arbus, Cunningham, and a few others.

What do you think if I help Galleries to do their social media presence... Virtually for new yorker galleries, Chealsea etc... How should I begin to approach them. ?

I think you have to be very clear about what you can provide including the real value you can bring over them using their intern to post to social.

My suggestion would be to just keep painting, build a reserve and know how much you can produce. Gallery involvement is a lot more than meets the eye. Today the gallery does not do their part but wants half of what you make and dictate to you. This is a somewhat jaded view but the market is changing. Let us see where this goes!
