Become an OR Nurse in Australia With or Without Experience After AHPRA Registration

Hi guys! Welcome back to our channel. This purpose of this video is to help aspiring registered nurses here in Australia, Philippines and abroad find a job in this country. This includes nurses with or without any experience in the Operating Room/Theatre (Perioperative Nursing). However, this video is applicable only to those who are already RN in Australia. Meaning, those who have finished the IRON program, OBA and conversion.

Just saw your vlog and appreciate the content. I’m a theatre nurse back in our country. Done with the bridging and had my license as well here last year. Unfortunately, medyo nahirapan ako to find work as I didn’t have recent experience here in Australia and didn’t work after I got my license as I had a baby to look after😂. Hello po.. check nyo lang ang mga hospitals kung san state sa australia nyo gusto pumunta. Marami hiring at magssponsor ng PR. Here in Victoria meron pa relocation package, this year lang sya nagstart, kaya this time ang the best time na magapply.

Hello, provided that you are already an RN in your country, there are exams that you need to go through to be able to become an RN here in AU. Or if you don't want to go through the exams, you can have the 1 year conversion, wherein you have to study for a year. I have an upcoming vlog which will be posted on January, it talks about the procesa to become an RN here in AU. I haven't edited it yet because of the busy schedule this holiday. Happy new year😊

Hello. Thanks for watching. I was sponsored by my employer with a working visa. But we also have applied for our PR while on a working visa. But if you want to be sponsored by them for PR, you can talk to them after you have started working for them. You will also have to work for them for 2 years if they will sponsor your PR.

Now I am going back to nursing, and will take my NCLEX thru AHPRA. Originally my plan was ipatransfer score ko pag nakapasa sa US. But I had friends na nagsabi maganda ang work life balance sa AU. Ma’am, my pag asa pa ba ako na 35 going 36 y/o na maging nurse sa AU? And dahil wala akong prior experience, my pag-asa pa ba ako jan sa AU? Or need ko magexperience muna po dito sa PH? Hello.. the scrub nurse will be guided by the med rep.. but the medical representative does not scrub.

Hi i have a quick question hope you can help, we are currently in the middle of our visa application for pr to aus from uk, but in the mean time my wife has been accepted here in the uk to start her nursing degree in September , lets say as she finishes her first year and our visa get's accepted, can she start 2nd year of uni in aus? Ir would she have to start first year again, have you heard of anyone doing This? Thanks

Hiii! So, I'm actually in Australia right now and im doing this VET course. Before my visa got approved, I passed the licensure exam for radiologic technology. Now, I'm curious about APHRA. Can I sign up without any work experience since I just graduated and passed the board exam in January? Wala kasi akong makitang ibang videos gaya nito tungkol radtech.

Hello po! Paxenxa na at late reply. Medyo busy po sa life. :) We really don't know the process para sa mga radtech, but if AHPRA is your licensing body, then I can't see any reason why you can't apply for your license to practice here in Australia if you've finished all the requirements to be a licensed radtech here in Australia.

So do you have to negotiate before hand for permanent residence pathway with your employer I hear there is 186 DE and the transition one. Or you will apply your 190 or 491 alone.

You can apply for your working visa first, the hospital you applied for will sponsor you for that. Afterwards, maybe after how many months of working for them, you can ask them as well if they can sponsor you for a permanent residency visa. That is what my friend did. I hope that helps😅

@@bartj1940 It is what it is. Sad but true. That's why we have so much respect to the ward nurses here. Anyway, if I am not mistaken, the nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. And if for example you are not happy working in the ward anymore, they have the transition program wherein you will be trained in another area like the theatre, ED etc.

Same lang po sa pinas. Bale ang kaibahan, hindi kna maghuhugas ngninstruments😂 dati kc kami pa maghuhugas ng instruments sa pinas after ng case. So dito taga bigay or abot ka lang ng instruments. Tapos may theatre tech na to set up the equipment, basta ang instrument at circulating nurse focus lang sa instrumenta and consumables. Pakiwatch nlng po yung vlog nmin na OR nurse life in Australia.

@@zejaco9749 disposable na, may mangilan ngilan na tela pa ang gamit, like cguro 1/10 lang.. pro most of the time disposable. Wag mo na problemahin ang drapes, malayong nakakalito gamitin ang tela na drape sa disposable, so sisiw nlng sayo un😂

I struggled to find work as a nurse in my country. I moved to England (because of my husband's work) and registered my bachelor degree here, again I can't find work as a nurse because employers always ask for experience or, at least, recently qualified nurses, so I just spent money and stressed myself in the process of registration. Now I'm moving to Australia (again because of my husband's job) and I don't think it will worth it to validate my degree again. So, I don't recommend ANYONE to move abroad (at least not to England) without experience. Specially if you graduated more then 3 years before validation).

Hi there! Apologies for the late reply. Hopefully you've got your license already and migrated to Australia. As long as AHPRA releases your license, you can practice here in Australia and be able to migrate here via a work visa or permanent residency.
