Grazie e buona giornata. Claudio

Joe I agree all you say. Especially the third point. Enjoy the slow process of learn a language and don't be impatient. I'm 70, and by an app I speak with people from Indonesia to Perù, and often they ask me why still do I learn english. Simple for pleasure, 'cause it allows me to comunicate with dozens of people like a guy of Yemen beside the bed of his father with a cancer in a hospital of Cairo in Egitto. For me this contac has an immense value. Bye Joe, I follow you joyfully.

What a wonderful message in this video! I really think that people should apply this tips not only in the case of learning a new language, but also in other contexts of life. Nowadays, poeple live "quickly" and don't really enjoy the journey, only want the result and want it immediatly. We lack patience and the "spirit of sacrifice" (non so se si puó tradurre letteralmente) to work hard to achieve our goals. Grazie mille Joe per quello che fai. The best english teacher I've ever had

Joe, I think this is the best lesson I ever heard. Thank you for teaching us some crucial tips not only to learn and be fluent in English but even to make ourselves better human beings. This lesson seemed like it was meant for me, especially when you tell us not to be perfectionist. That’s a big limit, a big mistake of mine. I always try and be perfect as for what the vocabulary, the accent, the fluency are concerned and I get angry when I can’t be. I should change my attitude and feel lighter even if I make mistakes. I have no practical reason to study English. Passion is my only motivation. Perfection is not attainable. We can only improve and do the best that we can do. Thanks for reminding me. ❤️

Dear Joe, I discovered your videos a couple of months ago and it was an enlightenment! I'm learning a lot and having lots of fun, with you...and James 😊 This video is genial!!! Is a perfect synthesis of your method and philosophy of teaching. I totally agree with everything you are saying here! I developed my opinions about learning languages during many years of my (quite long) lifetime. I'm very fond of studying languages. Yes, to have passion! to learn as children do...stop looking for perfection....to enjoy😮 the process! and yes, first of all, to communicate and express ourselves! I was studying English (school)grammar when I was a child. And then I was practising English in many ways, travelling, reading, working, with foreign colleagues, with friends, singing....being a musician of classical music, I find there are so many affinities between learning a language and practising an instrument, piano, violin....voice... lots of training ( never ending!), great patience, constance, no fear to do mistakes....and how much joy, if there are passion and love ! I can speak enough " fluent ", surely not always everything is correct, but I wanted always to communicate and I think I did..And now I'm improving a lot and going deeper in the English structure and mentality with your lessons. So, I'm enthusiast and very happy that I discovered your channel, very many thanks to you, Joe, and to your family! All the best, Sonia

Jo, you just have given the best advices to learn and to speak English fluently. The difference betwen adults and children to learn to speak a language is fundamental ! Children learn with different times and they don't care of gramatic , instead the adults think to much to be perfect or, they're afraid to be wrong . Excuse me if what i said is not correct, but i hope to have been clear ! Grazie, è anche un piacere ascoltare la lingua inglese parlata da te ! you're really a number one !!

Joe, I want to tell you that you are the best teacher of English I have ever had over decades since I started to study your beautiful and fundmental language. I would love if my 12yo child, Matteo, saw and listened to you in your video lessons, besides to have the possibility to interact with you and the classmates in the comments here. In fact, I don't trust in his teachers of the first and second grade school or in general in the method applied in the ordinary schools English courses, due to the fact that there no chances to go deep into the very important things to learn of your language, that is the pronounciation and the nuances between the formal and informal English or even the different way to express the same thing and idea, maintaining the same meaning, as you do for us here. This is so important when we are listening to people coming from different Countries or different regions of the same Country, depending on the habit of expressing one idea in a local form, instead of saying the same in the most common used and taught one.The latter is the trouble to whom I need to face in my job almost everyday, with colleagues from the UK and the USA, further that from any corners of those Countries. For all these reasons, I am thankful to whatever made me to come across Joe English's page on KZbin and then on your website.

I do agree with you. It takes time, passion and patience to learn a language. Your approach is so comforting. We also have to get rid of that fear, that shame to get wrong when expressing ourselves in another language: isn't it the best way to correct ourselves and to go forward?! Thank you so much for all your precious lessons and points of view.

What a great message! I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been studying English for over 30 years; in the meantime, I managed to get a C2 certificate. I even lived in London for some years before returning to Italy. Nevertheless, the essential aspect is that I’ve never ever lost the joy of learning the language, in all its subtleties and nuances. It’s never failed me the passion for getting closer and closer to how a native speaker would have expressed in the different situations. Mine’s just a humble opinion, but I find what you do very interesting. You’re in another league. Well done, keep it up!

I love English. I'm trying to learn English with my own. It's very hard, sometimes I think impossible. I don't speak, I listen my voice when I read, I listen your voice in your video. I love to listen English. My hope is can speak fluent to listen my voice in this fantastic language. Slowly but with huge passion I will do it. And so, thank you Joe, because you're positive, you understamd my difficulties, because you have the same difficulties in italian language. Thank you so much and share again your video, it's important for us.
