My opinion is that data analytics these days its just another skills that we might have in our respectives roles (such as finance, retail, supply or any other part of a company that we're working)

I'm teaching myself Power Bi, Python and refreshing my SQL and Excel knowledge. I have bachelor's in CompSci from a few years ago that I've never used so hopefully that might also help me a bit

You certainly can, your technical skills will be better than average but you might lack knowledge of the business domain. Maybe specialise in SQL and take it from there
