Super interesting video guys, eventually becoming a doctor is one of those end goals for me in life so it’s nice to hear someone who is taking a similar path give their experiences. I’m in a paramedic course right now but I love the idea of continued education. As a side note, I’d love to rock some Prepmedic merch one day, any chance of that happening soon? Cheers

As a service technician servicing and repairing microscopes I have spent a great deal of time in labs and in pathology. I have a great deal of respect for pathologists who most times are never seen or heard of. Doing a frozen with the surgeon still operating still amazes me of the knowledge involved. Take care.

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Thanks to Susie for sharing her past experiences in academics and the human toll it takes to endure. Congratulations to you both as husband and wife for going the extra mile to make your relationship work every day, even though you may not see each other. Medical school and residency are TOUGH. Being married and making things work through the good and the bad is EXCEPTIONAL. God bless you both for your dedication. Congratulations on the new baby.

Very informative video-- and I hate to be "that guy" but... The thumbnail shows the [staff/rod of] Caduceus which is often wrongly used to signify the medical field. The correct symbol for medicine is the staff/rod of Asclepius (stick with one snake). Caduceus was Hermes' staff and it represents commerce or something less cool than medicine. Asclepius was a hero/god of healing, so naturally he had a stick with a snake around it as wrap-around Oakleys didn't exist back then. I'm mentioning all of this because the rod of Asclepius is often featured in the EMS Star of Life symbol, a blue six-sided symbol (like an asterisk) that indicates emergency medical services and six important things I can't remember for each point on the star.

Just don’t go into a medical profession that is dependent on a single piece of technology and you will be fine. Paramedic, nursing, physician, resp therapy are all pretty secure areas. While you can make some good money in it, professions like ultrasound techs make me nervous because I don’t know how adaptable it is.
