In LEGO Worlds Part 1, we start the game by crash landing on a LEGO world! We land on the first Level Pirate Playground! Here, we must gather three Gold Bricks to fix our Rocket to travel to different LEGO Worlds. We help pirates by using our Discover Tool on Quests! After getting 3 Gold Bricks we level up from a Learner Builder to Discoverer Builder Rank!

I dont think they are glitches. you have to press accept before you place anything down. Also when the stars appear, if you get back into your ship you can travel. good luck!
