I’m South Indian, and a lot of our native foods are naturally vegan, if you don’t add ghee. In my household it is pretty easy to eat vegan- I make dosa and lentils and salad for my parents and they are happy campers. My parents are like his- at home they’re mostly veganish but they’ll go on a cruise and eat lots of dairy and eggs. My sister on the other hand is a hardcore carnivore because her mentality is naturally very competitive and deeply resembles the values of the animal kingdom for a lack of a better explanation- extreme competitiveness, narcissism, obsessed with hierarchy, status, oppressing the weak, bullying, lust for power and money- so she loves meat and animal products and has a kind of bloodlust. Other than her family which eats a lot of meat and animal products, me and my parents can get along fine on a vegan diet. A lot of Indians fall into that mindset of hyper competitiveness in survival mode, but there are a few gems here and there and they do stand out. So I find this dude inspiring and different. I’d like to have such good vibrational people in my network

Good discussion. In 1992 I had the opportunity to listen lectures by John Robbins and Ingrid Newkirk. I read John Robbins book also. Since then I am a vegan as it was easy for me as I was already a vegetarian. Once we decide to go vegan, then we will find many many ways to adopt a vegan life style. Thanks.

So glad your whole family is doing it! I'm going to be transitioning into focusing on raising children vegan. In fact I just started a website called raisingchildrenvegan.com for this initiative. It's a totally new site and I have a lot left to do with designing it but it would be sweet to see you in the mix there if you're a vegan parent! You can join and share a bit about your story there, at a profile picture and banner which helps a lot. You can do a lot more than that but just being a member helps 🙂 I'll get back to you designing it once I get caught up. I just got back home from being gone 2 and 1/2 Weeks doing interviews in Kansas, Iowa, Chicago, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, And Tennessee before returning home to North Carolina. So I have a lot of interviews to edit before I can get back on the site. But it's going to be a powerful complement to these future videos that will be coming soon, videos of lifelong vegans, vegan parents, and those who can speak intelligently on the subject like pediatricians, obstetricians, midwives, etc.

Yay!! I sadly don’t know the exact date that I went vegan, but it was likely around that same time - at least likely some time that same year, 1989, and John Robbins was a pivotal person in my beginning as well. 😊 Cheers, Anuj! ✌️ #AnimalLiberationNow

When I shop and think about what I'm eating I think about 10 categories; legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs & spices. The first three are like your mains. Then portions get smaller from there. Mix things up, learn recipes, check out the Daily Dozen app by Dr Greger of NutritionFacts.org it's free, easy, and backed by the most comprehensive nutritional science.... I talk about it on this page VeganLinked.com/GoVegan I'm making a better site though for how things are about to evolve. So, I'll be making a new page on what vegans eat soon, once I'm caught up.

Look up what the founding fathers said about food including Gearge Washington. You'll find that they ate almost no meat and felt that it helped their character and self control. They campared that with that of the English that gorged themselves on meat and were of diminished character and other undesirable behavior.

If My Main reason to avoid animal products is to have the Freedom to have your health in my own hands and the reducing of animal suffering is just a SIDE effect instead of the Main reason. I am still Vegan or just Plant base eater
@VeganLinked

Okay here's the deal, if you put the animals first then you're vegan. And the reason why I say this is because if you start having difficulties and you don't put the animals first then you're likely to just acquiesce to social pressures or whatever learning curve you may need in respect to developing a well-planned vegan diet. So if you ever do go back to eating animals don't say vegan didn't work for you. Not unless you've exhausted utilizing assistance from reputable sources like someone who practices lifestyle medicine and therefore knows evidence-based nutritional science. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. And thank you for at least being plant-based! Hopefully you don't wear animals, or buy leather, and you try to avoid all animal exploitation as much as possible 💚

@@anulfolantigua940 I still have my leather coat but I don't wear it. I had my leather belt from before as well for the first 12 years and I wore it. Then my vegan friend turned me on to a hemp belt. I didn't buy anything leather after I went vegan I just had all that stuff from before. So I hear you! It's easy to find new stuff that's not leather. And it seems like there's no sense in throwing out what you used to have. The thing is if you do wear it and someone notices then they think it's fine, that means you're normalizing it and perpetuating it. Just stuff to think about 🙂 it sounds like you want to try!
