I was a Drill Sergeant in D Trp 5-15 Cav at Knox from 2006-2008. I can’t even watch this. I feel sorry for the Private.

When I was a Drill Sergeant at Ft Knox for Scouts we called it SST3/ STX. It was a lot more intense. We’d have Pyro, smoke, yelling, blanks fired off; we’d watched Privates who had been broken down for weeks on end rise above the challenge and worked together as a team under those stressful situations. I was very good at this job. Idk what this is? The Optempo is too slow in my opinion and those privates wouldn’t be doing an Airborne shuffle to their next task.

I see a lot of people talking about how this is light work and it is, but do not be mistaken. I was in the cycle before these guys, these are my drills and lemme tell you, the next 9 weeks of basic (especially white phase) and the AIT portion is going to be absolute chaos. COPPERHEAD TROOP IN THE HOUSE.

These boots take a while to break in, 30th AG also sucks at giving the proper boot sizes. One poor guy in my platoon when I went through BCT was given boot sizes so small he got 3+ big blisters within the first week of BCT.

This is the Thunder Run, beginning of a cycle. It was filmed for this ad specifically and watched over by senior officers - this was right off the bus from 30th (reception). They’re acting nice for the cameras

Well yeah, because back in '04 old mate Osama claimed responsibility for 9/11 and promised more attacks. So your pushups were likely angry pushups.. The sandpit is finished now, so these guys can have less angry pushups lol.
