Well, there is no physical descreption of how he should look like, so technically .... if someone has the vocal range and vocal type required as well as the necessary training and skill to play the character then anyone would be able to play Evan

Ok so i have seen him live and he is just too perfect. There is almost no flaw in him. He is too attractive and he has tattoos and piercings. There is no way evan would be alone if he was like this. You won't believe what you are in for. Dear Evan Hansen is a beautiful show with an emotionally intimate and hopeful story with energetic music and bits of humor. I wouldn't call the show a favorite but I connect to Evan in my own way. Because I have high functioning autism which is close to social anxiety as it will ever be. Which is why I am proud to have my own blue polo shirt. I've been out of high school for the last seven years. The show would have been more timely back then for me.
