Nah bro. I seem to remember 11 million people dying the last time the world thought genetics mean anything. Also. Literally anyone can learn to weld in 10k hours. Anyone can learn any course in college in several thousand hours. I have doctors where I live that somehow have degrees yet don’t know how to to a ct scan after a head injury, doctors who gave Benadryl to a 3 month old infant, doctors who chalked a knee surgery on a 21 year old so badly that he went from a full footbal scholarship straight into a wheelchair. But then we have a Physicians Assistant who can tell what’s wrong with you in less than a minute. Everyone has a skill ceiling solely determined by the amount of hard work and diligence that person is willing to put into learning that skilled task. Genetics has nothing to do with capability, after all Doctors said that Helen Keller would never learn to read or communicate being; blind, deaf, and mute. Her rendered her INCAPABLE of doing so. What happened there little bro? SHE FOUND A MOTHERFUCKING WAY. Genetics=capability is a myth invented by Nazi’s.

To be fair, genetics play a huge role in all aspects of our lives. Some people might want to become a pro bodybuilder, but no matter how much they work out and no matter how many roids they take they just don't have the genetics for it. same thing with educations/learning, playing instruments, running, chess, etc. But I still believe that in a lot of video games and stuff, almost anyone can go pro if they put enough practice in, the question is then, how good a pro can they be. Genetics, IQ, etc. Play a huge role in every aspect of life.

Taxi not entirely wrong about genetics playing a part in player skill ceiling but IQ doesn't have anything to do with it. There are plenty of Pro players who are complete dumb-dumbs and there are plenty of high IQ geniuses who are dog water at video games and have terrible game sense.

yeah i understand what taxi meant i think he meant IQ as more in brain all-around ability. for instance understanding the concepts of a first person shooter and teamplay. while a lot of it is learnable, how quickly you can learn and retain it in the brain and apply it is dependent on your brain "genetics" . another big thing is relfexes. not something that can be trained as easily as growing a muscle by working out
