Becoming Wanna One Was Not Easy (Park Jihoon Version)

Hello everyone!
I'm back with the fourth video of my Becoming Wanna One Was Not Easy series; a topic that's close to my heart since Wanna One is one of my bias groups. I've been seeing a good amount of Wanna One dislike/hate hovering about, especially in the international kpop fans spheres so I wanted to do something about it; even if my contribution doesn't do much, I still wanna make the contribution.
Let's be a little more gentle when it comes to idols, shall we? It's not fair to hate on someone just because you don't deem them worthy of their fame. You're allowed to not like someone but let's not get vicious with it. I hope this series will help you see that Wanna One too worked really hard for what they now have. The Produce series can be hell to live through.

Let me just say this about jihoon on pd101. He winked numerous times for the camera to get the viral wink boy moment, so that was not just a lucky moment. When he didnt get the center position in oh little girl, he made sure to lipsync the whole song and made expressions in every second of that song. He was also constantly being asked difficult questions about dropping from 1st place but he answered it so well everytime. He also had the fewest lines in hands on me, oh little girl, always. People questioned his talent and just thought of him as a pretty face. But as of this date, jihoon is a half a million seller counting all of his albums, starred in 4 dramas- 3 as male lead. And now he's getting another viral moment for his acting in weak hero. I stood by jihoon since pd101. I know he is talented and handsome, but people also need to know that he is mature, kind, hardworking, professional, and he makes sure that his fans know that he is grateful to them. I am a May and as long as Jihoon needs me, I will support him💖💛💚

I heard that jihoon is one of the most kind trainee during pd 101,even the trainees and the staffs always praised him,the fact some people said that "if jihoon gets number 1 again,that will really unacceptable,just because he is popular doesn't mean he deserves it" tbh jihoon really worked hard during pd101 and deserve in w1.this is just random list but okay😂: 1)he is the only maroo trainees who passed the top 20,bcs of that he really worked hard to represent the maroo trainees.. 2)mnet staff always praised him for being kind even off camera 3)other trainees always confused why he didn't get that much screen time since he is one of the famous and kind among them AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST NUMBER 4)you snakes should stop saying he become wanna one just bcs of his wink or visual bcs YOU NEVER MEET/SEE HIM IRL DURING HIS PD101 PERIOD LIKE THAT BOI FREAKING WORK REALLY HARD

If you looked closely at the first evaluation, when maroo ent performance, only park ji hoon who had trouble with the mic, that mic almost fell down and park ji hoon overcome it professionally, he really think out of the box to gain vote and made something different from the other trainee, for example he wore different shoelace, he did multiple times wink dan put converty in his pocket, he did this to increase possibility to get shoot during nayana, and wuala after that he get called with wink boy, he wasn't stop at that, he still thinking about doing aegyo "jojang" and "kukukaka", he really tried hard to improve his vocal, rap and also his dance. I'm not kpop fans but while watch park ji hoon's determination and his effort, make me want to support him, he is my first pick during pd101 season 2, i wish the best for him for the future, and he get all the achievement and recognition of his efforts, talent and also brighter for his career Sorry for my bad english hehe

jihoon in fact got most of his fame from that wink, but the thing is he totally deserves that 2nd place. he works really hard and has a lot of talent. his visuals are stunning, his dancing is really great, he can rap and sing. jihoonie you truly 'saved' our hearts :)

His not the only trainee with good looks, there are others. Though its an asset for him. Its is his determination to excell and set his goal to achieve as high as possible with a lot of hard works. His vocal might not be as good as Kim JW or Ha SW but he practice a lot to overcome his weakness. Even Daniel said that JiHoon's hardworking and determination to improve himself inspired him. It's true that his wink boosted him up (honestly that was what I thought while watching the show, I thought his visuals were carrying him to the top) but I do believe now that Produce 101 never really showed us Jihoon's skills but just focused on his wink. I was so happily surprised to hear him rap in Wanna One, he's so good! I'm glad he looks so happy with himself now and that he looks happy for where he is in life. Honestly I found out about Wanna One through Kang Daniel when they disbanded already and he was a soloist. Then I found out more about Wanna One and became a Wannable. I was really sad that I only found out about them so close to their last concert date. I could have bought their light stick and become a fan earlier but I didn't. At that time, Kang Daniel my bias. I went on to watch Produce 101 Season 2 and when I saw Park Jihoon's wink and heard his catch phrase, he became my bias in Wanna One as well as my ultimate bias. He's basically perfect. He is handsome, cute, talented and he can fit in any theme whether cute or sexy.

I watched PD101 after knowing Wanna One. At that time, I wasn't even aware of 'The wink' nor 'Jeojang'. But I started to notice him during BIL cuz I'm an ARMY. I was Samuel-biased back then but even I wonder why couldn't Jihoon get those center role. Plus he got lesser screentime than all those hard work he did. After seeing the start of 'jeojang', that's only when I got more attached to him, not cuz of his cuteness but cuz of his personality. He continued doing his best in every performance, remained positive and kind; that's how he always steal my attention away from the centers of every performance. I just don't get how lots of people invalidate all his skills and hard work just because of his iconic aegyo. He wouldn't maintain his high rank and popularity if he isn't as talented. Just because he gained popularity for his aegyo and visuals, it doesn't mean that's all he got. He's just as deserving of his high rank as everyone else in Wanna One. I just really hate it that until now, some people I know irl has that kind of view of Jihoonie 😒

Jihoon is my bias since the first time i saw him singing. It's because of his voice meaning his talent that made me a fan of him. That time, i didn't know he was popular. Watching Pd101, I always notice him and i was so impressed on how he is willing to practice again and again to improve himself. I am happy when he talks lively on the interviews. He has this happy feeling that can be passed to people. I think he already carry that charm when he was still a kid. Then, later i knew that he was a winkboy and jeojang boy. I didn't stan him for his wink. Tbvh, i was skeptical at first because wink boy's articles kept coming up and i'm not watching any produce episode. But then i got a chance to find him. I watched the third episode where he performed BTS's BIL. I found his visual was similar to JK during his debut era and getting invested to search for any information regarding this one trainee. As the show progressed, jihoon kept showing me such a positive vibe. He is always polite, kind-hearted, has a clear goal in his mind but never pushy or letting his ambition clouding his logic. I'm truly thankful because he came when i was down and since then, he had became my strength. My forever one pick, Park Jihoon, let's go together for a really, really long time 💖

I really really miss those times. At first, I don't know who is actually Park jihoon.
