LM xPerriex it’s VERY uncommon and it’s only if you leave it in for 8+ hours. Less than 0.1% of people get it and it’s very rare.

Ella Thomsen but you could be that unlucky 0.1 percent. You never know! You can leave in a super absorbent tampon in for 4 hours could make you susceptible to tss

I use clue and my period is most likely going to start on saturday and we start swimming on monday. My period usually lasts up to 5-7 days. WHAT SHOULD I DO??? GIVE ME SOME EXUSES AND IDEAS ON HOW TO HIDE MY PERIOD.

Volleyballlover You dont need to skip and its childish to skip swimming cuz your on your period. Use a tampon and carry on as usual. If you dont use a tampon you're gonna have to skip yoir swimming classes for a week every month. That will make you behind on your swimming by alot.

im a swimmer too and i got my first one at the river and pretty much from that point on i used a tampon and my advice for other young swimmers is if you're scared to use one is to just not think that deeply into it and just go for it ;)

I remember being so worried about getting periods, I honestly felt doomed. But now with a handy menstrual cup and paracetamol, they aren't too bad. Sometimes they come early, sometimes they come late, sometimes the pain is unbearable, but we're all strong enough to deal with it. ❤️

PLEAS HELP !! I'm a swimmer and I love swimming. Ik someone in my club that swims with nothing. Ik you can't wear pads while swimming but I really can't get used to tampons. So would it be ok to swim with out anything ?? PLEASE HELP !!

I would not recommend swimming with nothing as it may leak out and as soon as you leave the water, you will continue bleeding. It is worth trying tampons, even though it is a bit daunting, because you will find that it is comfortable and easy to swim in. You may want to speak to a female parent, teacher or family member about it and which type would be best for you. Hope this helped xx

I'm 14 and I still haven't got my period but i am getting signs and I'm going on my vacation in 13 day (August 12th) and I don't want to have it on vacation because I will be swimming a lot like everyday and I'm not gonna wear tampons on my first period and I'm too nervous and scared to tell my mom, I'm just praying to god I won't have my period on vacation but knowing my luck I might start it on vacation, I know I have to start it at some point but I just really can't afford to start it now, I'm really scared 😢

I'm a swimmer, but I don't swim when I'm on my period... but For those not willing to wear tampons: not for your sake, but for the sake of OTHERS, don't taint the public water with your period... The blood can get diluted, appearing as if you're not bleeding at the moment, but it is speading... and it's where children might be swimming, and children can be susceptible to infection that bacteria gets 'boosted' by your period blood. It is disgusting to imagine diluted period blood floating in front of stranger's faces... seriously..
