I’ve wanted to learn to crochet or knit my entire life, and when my first grandchild was born I thought ok it’s now or never. So, I searched some videos, listened to a few, until I landed on yours.. and you made it look/sound/seem so simple. Well that was about 3 weeks ago. I first made my husband a HUGE blanket (maybe a little overachieving for my skill level) and then I made one for my daughter, a random one out of some yarn I had bought that didn’t match what I bought it for, I did a poof pillow for my daughter, a blanket for my grandson, and now I’m working on this project as a floor mat for my grandsons first cousin who was born 2 weeks ago! So I’m 2 weeks in and I have 3 full blankets, and one poof pillow under my belt, and now I’m starting this one and gave yarn stashed for a blanket for my son! My other son is next, and then one for my mom and my aunt LOL. I always knew I wanted to learn to do this but never realized what I was missing- or how much I’d enjoy it. I love your videos. You make it easy to understand, and I love that you show the project from start to finish - not leaving out what some might see as common sense or unnecessary. For those of us who are new at it and not sure of our skills, nothing about it is common knowledge!

I have to say this is very beautiful, ive made three hand knitted blankets and my family truly loves them so four of our family memebers are getting one for xmas this yr lol.. now im wanting to make some with a different pattern i seen your honey comb and im in love with it.. but my question is do you use more yarn doing it this way.. i have a total of 12 skeins 4 white 4 navy blue and teo soft grey my daughter colors are navy white and grey i onlunwsnted to do one row of grey in between but making this pattern i probably wont use the grey. So with this pattern do you use more yarn i would think you would
@BeCozi10 ай бұрын
Yes, more yarn needs for this pattern. Add 2-3 skeins for a medium size blanket

I love your tutorial. Such a beautiful pattern but I am struggling with not having holes in the pattern …. What am doing wrong ? I used a regular thread and needle to sew up the gaps but that is so time consuming . I am a beginner but I decided to try an intermediate one anyway lol .
@BeCozi2 жыл бұрын
For this pattern the holes in the middle of "honey combs" are expected. If you would not like to have holes, you would need to knit very, very tight and use 1.5 more yar
@tinahalle35752 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you ! As I continued I thought maybe these holes are part of the pattern lol . When I watched the video again I noticed yours are very evenly spaced and look nice. Mine weren’t as even which is why I thought I might be doing it wrong . I unraveled a bit and restarted and it looks better now :-) I finished the blanket and since I’m new to it mine aren’t as even but I still love it. It’s close enough lol. Long story short , I’m just a newby lol but I’ve learned so much from your tutorial.

Hi for this honeycomb pattern. If you want to use two different colors at what point would you change the color?
@BeCozi2 жыл бұрын
You can switch the color where you want it to be - in the middle for two color blanket or the third part of a blanket if you would like three colors. Always start a new color at the beginning of a new row
@jamikawhiting78443 жыл бұрын
Can you do it in multi color and if so how would you recommend making the rows for a 40x60. Thanks
@BeCozi3 жыл бұрын
Sure, you can make it in a few different colors. This pattern can not be exactly 40 inches, it can be either 38 with 30 stitches to cast on or about 42 inches with 34 stitches cast on.

@@BeCozi IF you were to do this pattern in multi colors, where do you suggest switching colors - I would guess on the row that is just knitted, but I could be wrong.
@suebean38733 жыл бұрын
I like that pattern, however, what confuses me is the last stitch on each row, I don’t get that part. I’ll keep watching. It might make sense to me at one point. Nice pattern though. Excellent teacher, great tutorial.

I skipped the first stitch in every row, just let it lay there and start knitting with second stitch.
