🇬🇧 Its wierd to think that both my grandparents were Victorians! My Grandfather was born in 1895 & my Grandmother in 1898! I can even remember my Great Grandmother Marguerite born in 1867! I was very young & she died when i was around 6yrs but still remember her face & voice well. All the females on my mums side had children late in life My mum had me when she was 35yrs & my 1st daughter was born when i was 26yrs & my 2nd girl when i was 40yrs! This is the reason why the time line stretches way back within my own lifetime. Still amazes me though that my grandparents were born in the reign of Queen Victoria! & i was born in the same year as our late Queen Elizabeth 11 was crowned Queen! Were also very long living too Which is nice! This was a really good tale! Im facinated with old London. In the 1970s i lived in London & loved walking everywhere & esp in Whitechapel. It was still fairly unmodernised In the 70s & alot of the streets & tiny tiny alleyways still existed I used to go for a drink in the pub called The Ten Bells where many of Jack the Rippers victims drank It was also unmodernised then. Still more or less as it was in the Victorian era. Its now modernised but back to how it looked in the 1800s all authentic looking. It certainly was a creepy area back in the 70s, i can only imagine it was worse in Jacks day. Thanks for a great narration & to Two Dollar Lechuge for the story. Peace & Good Cheer 🇬🇧👧

Wait, the grandfather was a little boy waiting at home for Peter in 1858 and died in 2015? I wonder why the insistence on the year. Could have easily been "Bed and Breakfast, 1921"

Story wasn't bad, but it was inconsistant. Arachne's reveal happened way too soon, and it feels weird how the protagonist managed to type down all of this AND investigate the journal just 10 minutes after reading.
@federico033 Жыл бұрын
Great narration - obviously. But it sure went from 0 to 100 in a second. Did the writer get in a hurry to wrap up the story? Also why a black widow if the story takes place in Britain? I get it; it’s a very dramatic looking creature, but it ain’t native to the UK and the connection between spider = widow wouldn’t be obvious in Britain Also, spiders don’t eat or dismember their pray, they inject it with venom and liquify it before absorbing its fluids. In mythology, Arachne was a woman cursed to be a spider because she dared to be a better weaver than Athena. Not exactly the evil generation cursing being of the story
