Yes. If you have a small infestation and it’s only in one room, you can beat these nasty things. Evenly spread (no piles or clumps) DE on the floor around the bed and on the floor at the entryway to yours and other rooms, halls, etc. Spread around other furniture they might be sizing up for a bug condo in which to relax during the day, in the comfort of your undies. Use a paint brush and lightly dust the door frame of every room and enter another. They will climb, but will be intercepted by the DE. Online some “experts” say DE won’t kill eggs. Technically that’s true. But the hatchlings will walk through the stuff. Use interceptor traps (plastic circular things) under the bed legs to keep them from climbing into bed with you. Amazon has them, and other supplies and equipment, including mattress encasements. Be sure to get one for the box spring, too. Check the interceptor traps with your flashlight twice a day. The’ll give you a good idea about how many are left. Any wires that come from the floor to the bed need to be unplugged and taped up to the bed. If you have small furniture (i.e. night stands) check them carefully for signs that the little s**ts aren’t living rent- free in them. We took out the drawers and put DE under each drawer. Then moved them away from the bed. Move the bed away from the walls. I do NOT like the idea of using yourself as bait. That’s very risky if one or more of you reacts to the bites. I became more reactive every time. If you move to other rooms to sleep, just make sure they will come into contact with the DE as they try to leave the room. If they don’t die on the trip, it won’t be long. We haven’t seen a bug for some time but I have to be convinced they’re gone for good. We made the mistake of occupying the bed too soon last time. Back to the guest room we went. Last but not least, try not to let yourself get too hysterical -like me. Be patient, watchful and keep sweeping and replenishing the DE. My, I guess I got carried away. I hope I’ve been some help. ❤

This NEVER advised NOT to return to the bedroom.!!... it said you MUST continue to stay in your bedroom... just remember to put DE in the bed, around the bed, under the bed... shake it all over the bed sheets AFTER you've already washed all bedclothes. Place in all crevices and moldings on the BR floor. etc. WE are the bait - so need to continue to sleep in the BR
