Thanks for sharing. we went through that mess 10 years back when living in Denver, at a multi level apartment building. You simply could not get rid of them ( a building adjacent to ours got tore down because of an infestation. well the suckers traveled everywhere) 90% alcohol will kill them with direct contact. ( don't use near an open flame!!!!!) starvation will kill them, ( wrap item in plastic wrap for 3 months, or stick it in storage. or put it through a dryer. I didn't know about heat treatment, but the apartment building was a rude mess. we haven't had any trouble since, and you do get somewhat scarred, ptsd of sorts, ridiculous to jusmp when you spill flax seeds or a smaller item of seeds. *L* we had to toss a lot of things, as they will burrow into plywood, and wood in general, mattresses, Living in an apartment complex, you simply had to toss. Then there is the reaction we got from the VA, when we weren't sure what they were... and went for help. Treated like a plague victim. You were very brave to post this, and it's good information everyone needs to know. Thanks and God bless in 2-24! (since I posted this a lot later than 4 years ago )

I live in an apartment. This morning a noise woke me up, and I saw that my neighbor next door had these hoses coming from a truck downstairs in the parking lot, and going into their unit via their balcony. The noise has gone on all day. I couldn't figure out what was happening. My son just came and told me that the one wall in his room is hot as hell. Now a know what that truck was doing. I'm creeped out knowing now that my neighbor has bedbugs. I'm going to spray some rubbing alcohol outside my door, and sprinkle some baking soda. I've already checked our beds, and thankfully we don't have any. It better stay that way !
@brokenleftearbuglord91063 жыл бұрын
Don’t be creeped! Instead be glad that the problem is being handled, because that’ll save other people headaches in the future. If the system was Heat Assault- and they operated properly- then the problem should be solved. The kind of heat the system puts out, from personal experience, is enough to wipe out bed bugs AND their eggs (important!!). Again, be glad that they’re solving their problem instead of letting it persist.

@@brokenleftearbuglord9106 We've been finding bed bugs ever since then ! Just a few here and there, and we search every day. Mari Aguirre Hi Mari! We needed two heat treatments and now they're totally gone. Go with a company that has a 30 day guarantee. We had a rogue bed bug that survived the first round, but they came back no questions asked and focused the next heat treatment on the area we found the bed bug in. No recurrence since that time! And our son is a good indicator of bed bugs, the bites are bright red on him. Not everyone will have visible bites on them. If you have any other questions please ask!

@joannabananaberry5 жыл бұрын
Anwar Mian Two weeks after the first treatment my son woke up with bites. We searched and searched and only found one live bed bug. We killed it and then did another treatment. The company that did it said there was likely just one rogue bed bug that made it through the first treatment. All eggs were killed at first treatment, the rogue bed bug was an adult and wouldn't have hatched from an egg with enough time to start biting after two weeks. It's been a few months now and no reoccurrence! Good luck with your treatment I am sure it will be successful especially with the 30 day guarantee!
