You are an absolutely life saver! Vincennes is infested! At some point in the towns history, authorities couldn't legally stop businesses, but they highly encouraged shut downs until the bed bug problems are resolved. I was the victim of a fold couch i bought at a local 2nd hand store! They goyt in my music equipment to! Gretsch , fender guitars, banjos and even my bass instruments! With your advice, im 3 weeks in and NO BITES! I WAS GETTING BIT EVERY NIGHT! MY DUFF SIG SERIES BASS, I FOUND BED BUG YUMMY WHERE THE NECK BOLTS TO THE GUTAR BODY! THAT INSTRUMENT alone is 1300 dollar guitar! I wouldn't have made it without your videos! I still get PAINFUL GHOST ITCHES, from bites that already healed months ago! Oh my lord! I would NOT wish bed bugs even on my worst enemy!

I'm commenting in case any one is in a similar situation. We started seeing bites on one of my kids towards the end of January. We tore the furniture apart trying to find something, but never saw anything but bites for weeks on end, and it started happening to our other child (and me once). We dusted Cimexa because we simply didn't know what we were dealing with (we also assumed fleas because of the wildlife in our yard all the time). Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, we see an adult bug on the couch. Crossfire was ordered and applied on the 14th of this month. While applying the CF, we found a dead nymph on our sticky trap under the couch. Since then, we have found a few very dead 🎉 bugs. We plan to re-treat around the four week mark just in case. All this to say-sometimes you can have them and they not harbor in furniture anywhere. We assume they're harbored in our baseboards in the living room. Even our box springs were all devoid of any signs when we treated. Sneaky little effers. I hate them 😂

I'm a poverty-stricken poor man who has been hit with disaster. I might get evicted, become homeless and loose everything. Because I've got a very strict and mean apartment manager. If anything goes wrong, I get the blame as if everything is my fault. I admit that my apartment gets dirty and I have lots of clutter. But anybody can get these evil things. It has nothing to do with how clean or dirty you are. Also has nothing to do with how cluttered or uncluttered you are. People have all sorts of false myths about bed bugs and want to blame you for it all.

Hi Jason! I’ve been watching all of your videos on bed bugs and I feel confident about how to tackle the treatment however, how should I prepare for treatment? Should I vacuum the mattress and box spring, baseboards etc. before treatment or after? How frequently?

STILL Battling bed bugs going on 2 years. One exterminator was coming out and the guy was NOT inspecting or spraying under the box springs. After 3 or 4 months of NOT doing what he should have, he showed us underneath the box springs and there were over a thousand under the mattress. I got rid of this exterminator and told them why. What a waste. I am so frustrated, and am going with a very well known exterminator company. WE Shall see how it goes, so tired of these damn things

The part i don't understand is how insect develop resistance. If a product is effective that means it kills all the bugs. So, then, how can they reproduce insects on which the product no longer works? Thanks in advance, Jason.
@GreenAkersPC4 ай бұрын
If you spray a pesticide and it kills 80 out of 100. It doesn’t mean the 20 weren’t exposed it means genetically they were born with a resistance to the pesticide. People develop resistance to various things too like penicillin. So the 20% that live pass on that genetic resistance to their babies and after a few generations they become completely immune to the chemicals used.

There's a house next to me that had bedbugs. No one has lived there since September 2023. The heat is set to 59°. A mix of borax, baking soda, and DE was left on the carpet. How soon would you say it's safe to rent out without any bedbugs living in there? No air conditioning will be on this summer.

I finally got hit with the bug in my 400 sq ft studio apartment. It’s getting treated on Tuesday with a follow up two weeks later. I have a trip planned the day after my second treatment. Should I reconsider or should I be alright as long as I heat treat all my clothes I’m taking and bag it up night before or morning of my trip? Been mentally debating this all week

Hi there. I really hope you see this and can give me some peace of mind. I've been follwoing your videos for almost two weeks now and you even covered my reddit post on a live. We sprayed crossfire on Tuesday and im pretty sure ive been getting bit since then. And for the first time ever today i found blood spots on my sheets. Please, is this normal? Its really been effecting my mental health and i can't stop stressing. I know it's only been a few days but the problem seems worse since spraying even though we haven't found anything but two dead bugs last week.

It can take up to a month or so for all the bed bugs to die from the pesticides

Hey Jason! I commented on a video from a couple months ago but I'm not sure if you saw it. My peat control guy said to only do a half mixture because the space we are treating is small. I saw your response to someone that 57.5 oz water is "half" and I'm confused how it wouldn't be 64? He is trying to avoid us wasting SO much since he recommends a re-treat in a few weeks. Can you help me with this confusion please?
@TheHadjer19926 ай бұрын
It’s 115 oz of water + 13oz of crossfire = 128 oz/1 gallon final mix. Half of 115oz water is 57.5oz water. Also just make a whole gallon to avoid confusion with mixing.

@@banzaiiTreeX Nope, pretty much the only thing that doesn't require a license are a bunch of different types of pyrethroids both natural and synthetic, DE and Cimexa (not the same brand but the same active ingredient). 99% of the actually effective insecticides (like crossfire) are banned in Canada for no reason. The last thing I'm trying is Beauveria bassiana, it's the same active ingredient in Aprehend but it's a much weaker strain because it's the only one that's legally allowed without a special license and training. Aprehend/bedbug treatments from companies are $1,200+ per treatment per month on a yearly contract :(
