I use an Ego multi head with a tiller attachment. It’s so much cheaper and it can do deep tilling if you need it to.

Hi, can you tell me what an Ego multi head is?
@hogheadrun9139
@hogheadrun9139 3 жыл бұрын
@@aureliec3005 Ego is a cordless battery powered multi tool. It can be a weed or grass trimmer or a roto tiller. Just by changing out the different tools on the power head. You buy the power head that has the battery attached and slide a number of different tools on the other end. Trimmer, roto tiller, hedge trimmer, power broom etc.

I’d say Ego is the way to go! Besides the price of this appliance, you still need the drill, that is not sealed and a little dirt in the motor will shorten the life of the drill

Do you folks just have extra money to spend on this stuff? Geez farming budget is already tight and for less that 200 bucks you can get electric tiller that works great.

Its quite expensive for a very simple machine that doesnt even com with a motor. On a farm yeah maybe it makes sense but i just think its way overpriced. Why not atleast have a motor built in with a removable battery. It just seems like something someone made for themselves.

While I agree that is an expensive and seemingly overpriced tool, there are advantages to it not having its own motor. For one, we can assume that the tool would be even more expensive if it had its own designated motor. By using a drill as the motor, you save money by utilizing something that you already own and use for multiple other purposes. Also, if you had issues with a tilther's included motor then you'd likely be lost on how to repair it and the whole tool would be useless. At least with a drill you can replace the drill or battery if necessary and you are not facing a total loss on the tool.

@@dspinel1 id like to see homemade versions, coz its so simple i think anybody handy and farmers usually are could knock one of these up for about 40 bucks
