Great old girl I used to drive them in the Army. Never got stuck either considering the awful places we went.

yep you start in second gear usually unless its a hill

@mello398 Just found an ex MOD Bedford MJ4x4 Turbo Diesel ex communications truck (mileage from 9000) with a guide price of £7500 on MOD sales. Bet you could find older examples a lot cheaper than that.

Keep your hands on the outside of the steering wheel and do 10 to 2 steering. You risk breaking your wrists if a wheel hits a rut.

As I remember the wankers in charge of us never let us get near any dirt....anyone over WO rank was shit sc ared of getting stuck anywhere and the Tiffys were always saying hey would break if off roaded??? (I drive a unimog for kicks now).
