Those were the days of real time proprietary effects boxes. A lot of programming, but no rendering and re-rendering. About $150 - $200 an hour at post facilities in L.A. during the late 80's/early 90's. Remember Quantel's Mirage and Sony's System-G?

people may laugh now at the effects. But actually thinking about how that pringles-commercial must have been made at the time with this tech makes me humble...

I used ADO in 1988 in a television commercial. It was something fantastic at that time. and producing charged very expensive. Very cool this video.
