Once you get the hang of feeding, lay down feeding in bed is awesome for those middle of the night feeds. With my 3rd baby I did a majority of my feeding in the early months laying down, kept him more settled especially at night because there was minimal disruption and he would go straight back in his bassinet.

It's all beautiful. I do highly recommend that you swap the dirty clothes basket for something plastic and wipeable. Breastfed poop is very liquidy and it stains

I'm curious how home births work. Does that mean you can't have an epidural? What if you need a c section, will they rush you to the hospital?

Correct! There will be no epidural, and if there is an emergency, my midwife has EMS on standby, or we could transfer to the hospital. Having a homebirth greatly decreases the risk of c section, especially for low risk moms, and most hopsital transfers are because of a mom being too fatigued. Studies actually show homebirths are just as safe as the hospital for low risk mothers. 🥰
