I like this idea. Very cool! I have seen something similar but they drilled and mounted packout bases to the actual bedslide top. I was looking at the Decked system but I don’t like how much bed depth I would loose. At least with this setup you can strip it down to just the packout bases if you need to carry something large like luggage for a long trip and still have the depth to use a roll and lock cover. I was thinking you could possibly design some flat top blanks that could snap in to cover the bases if they covered the whole area.

That's a genius suggestion. I would say that's worthy of JakeOfAll level of thinking. kzbin.info

Thanks for your kind words. You made me realize that I should add more information in the description that could be helpful for people or at least explain why I did what I did.

If your truck cap had shelving would all this fitt by it? asking because i have a cap with side doors with shelving. Let me know! Thanks!

I think you would have to build it to suit your shelves so everything would be able to slide by the shelves

Great idea, I have the same slide out and was trying to figure out a way to accomplish this without drilling into my slide out deck. How did you attach or secure the plywood to the slide out?

The plywood is ¾" pressure treated and just lays inside the rails of the bedslide. It doesn't move. I have taken it out to clean the truck bed and also to adjust the bedslide locking pin.....so I will leave it. My next evolution will be to raise it up and widen it.
