Have a wonderful week everyone! 😊 a wee addition to this week, as requested by LOADS of you over the months, is my gentle title music all the way through... but very soft... 😘 shut your eyes and escape with me tonight. Let the music transport you to Scotland's castles. You never know... you might wake up here. 💙 S x

I heard it isn't THAT expensive to actually BUY a castle in Scotland, there are so many! Of course, the affordable ones have no electricity, gas, indoor plumbing, heating/cooling systems etc. and there could be structural issues... but he'll, I'd still do it if I could! I'll LIVE in an ADU or something. It would be a dream come true just to live in Scotland, but to own a CASTLE... That would be heaven!

I find myself listening to this story again and again. It just hits the spot. I don't know about other listeners but for me the tempo is perfect, not too slow and not too fast. It is very relaxing and also interesting and informative. Love the subject, and the ambient music is wonderful. If there was just one thing which would make it even better it would be to play the music at the end a little louder before it fades out. Compared to your very first sleep story some of the sounds are less distinct in this one which makes it slightly less haunting. I'm just being particularly picky here. You do a fantastic job. Thank you so much, well, for all your stories, but particularly for this one. ✨🌙🌠
@SnoozewithSam2 жыл бұрын
You are right, Heike! I think the music playing a little louder at the end is a good idea 😊 I'm glad you like the theme though. I find it as interesting as you! S x

I really enjoyed this story. Being a Dundionian and I back in my school days I always passes history But we never heard about Castles, I have seen a lot between Aberdeen and Perth and until you called the Tower Houses I had no idea. Thank you for teaching us the history of them. I would love to hear more of the Castle’s and I love the way you say Glamis Castle,as in Dundee we Called it Glams Castle. And the lovely people who visit Scotland don’t realise we have different accents 😊

Brings back happy memories of Edinburgh 🏰. My husbands great great great grandfather James Jardine was instrumental in draining the - we called it a moat but I believe it was a manmade loch at Edinburgh Castle in the 18th/19th century, amongst many other things. He was given two of the many chairs which you can still see at the castle and gave one to one of his servants. We still have the other one and our nephew has his large family portrait. His bust is in Edinburgh's Museum.

@@SnoozewithSam Well, I though it would be fun to look him up on Wikipedia. There it states he never married and had no children, but we know otherwise (from the family tree and papers we still have in the loft). He did indeed not marry, but he had a daughter. I will look up the information and put it on the Wikipedia page. If I hadn't listened to your story, we would never have noticed. Incredible!
