I love this story. I love our hero's devotion and great courage in spite of his fears. I find it to be a reassuring and an inspiring tale. A classic. Please don't curb your instincts. We need these stories.

I don't know about any of the other comments, but I was always aware mermaids were not "Ariel." I love the honesty of the stories you tell. Makes me feel like I am part of the story. Also, I know to listen to certain stories when falling asleep and ones, like this, at 6 am, when I have to wake up but can't. 😂 Thank you Sam. I'm a new fan and have listened to so many already. Americans really do love the Scottish accent. =)

From your description of “The Angel of Skye,” I’m guessing that she was one of the civilian vessels that participated in the Miracle of Dunkirk. I’m also guessing that she is/was real. Which of your family members did she belong to?
