My personal “People forget man” is Junior dos Santos. Nowadays people reduce his legacy to just “He took brutal beatings to Cain” and forget he has wins over Stipe, Cain, Werdum, Carwin, Cro Cop, Derrick Lewis and many others. His resume is so much better than Cain's and it isn't even close, but “People forget man!”

Is there an argument to be made that JDS was a more accomplished heavyweight than Stipe? Stipe, Werdum, Cain, Shane, Mark Hunt, Gabriel Gonzaga, Cro-cop, Frank Mir, Roy Nelson, Ben Rothwell, Tai Tuivasa, Derrick Lewis. Like fucking hell.
@collinkelleu5609Ай бұрын
@@kingcrimson3882 yeah beat 3 generations of fighters, but I still think you gotta give the nod to stipe. While he doesn't have as many good wins as jds he has more great ones. Beating DC 2/3 times is crazy, yeah JDS beat cain but with how the next 2 fights went I don't think you give it as much credit as stipe beating DC twice, and ngannou who's a monster a very good version of overeem who ya know beat a good version of jds comin off his win over stipe. I think you gotta give the nod to stipe but it's close he also has werdum, and roy nelson and hunt dominant wins over all of them

@m_tsvetkovv3 ай бұрын
Gegard Mousasi. Is he some sort of Mandella effect, because i've never heard anybody talk about him? He was a champ in strikeforce, Cage warriors and dream where he had a crazy upkick knockout vs Jacare, then went to the UFC, beat up Dan Henderson, Thiago Santos, Belfort, Weidman and Uriah Hall and left the promotion ranked number 4 in the divison, then he proceeded to move to bellator where he was champion two times and had 3 defenses, beating up Rory McDonald, Machida and Douglas Lima. Also he is casually 49-9-2 with 27 ko's and 13 submissions. He is the definition of underrated.

@B1ackout8503 ай бұрын
@DarrenReddix that's pretty silly, Jons resume is either the best or second best only coming in competition with GSP who I think edges him out in both the goat and resume discussion due to his wins over BJ pen and Matt Hughes, however the dj win weighs very heavy for Jones, if he beats Stipe he definitely has the best resume ever however I feel I wouldn't count that as a win as it was basically a set up win for him to be called the goat by the UFC and prop up him as a Michael Jordan type figure. Volks resume is very very good but it's not on Jones level the amount of world champions and top 10 fighters he has been is just insurmountable for volk, if he had best topuria and Islam and maybe Olivera we have a different story but he didn't. I love volk he's my #5 in the goat list but his resume is not better than Jones.
