Yes, we know we have covered this one before, but it's very much a team favourite and we always intended to go back and do a remake. This has all new artwork, much better narration and sound quality as well as a wealth of added information, particularly around the keepers themselves. Happy to have you back!!!! Hope all is well. As far as the mystery itself, the reasons I can think of for one not needing their oil skins would be: 1. As suggested, just a quick check outside. 2. Had to rush out in an intense hurry to help or save someone. 3. The individual did not need one - as in they were already deceased? Could the keeper that had been there for too long have lost it, only to be accidentally killed by the two others, perhaps trying to restrain him? In a panic they straightened up and decided to toss the body, thus dawning their gear, only to fall in with the deceased?

I think it is possible that they got Folie à deux. I mean they were left alone in a secluded place, with no contact with the outside world. If even one of them succumbed to some sort of delusions, the others could get affected by it too. It would've explained why despite their experience they would've gone out during dangerous weather conditions and why one of them didn't take his coat. I mean in 2008 two twin sisters ran in front of a car and a lorry, and almost died, a married couple once thought that their house is being invaded and that the invaders spread fluff and dust and wear-down their shoes. In 2016 an entire Australian family went on a run because they thought someone is out to kill them. and it was pretty sudden too. and let's not forget the dancing plague. Plus when it comes to disorders different people react differently...and we still don't know what truly causes this particular one.

If you're going to remake any other videos, please do Mothman. I get goosebumps every time I watch it, but I'd love to see more illustrations and accounts of other alleged sightings outside Point Pleasant.

One of my favorite mysteries ever and maybe the best KZbin channel when it comes to mysteries covers it AGAIN! 😍

Thank you for humanizing this story and sticking to what facts are available and respecting the memory of these men and the feeljngs of their families. You are always such a gentleman.

The fact that their fate is unknown makes it a mystery in the same way as the disappearance of someone sailing solo around the world. It was a dangerous, treachorous place where death can happen easily. One of your better video though. Nice to see you becoming more prosaic.

That was wicked good and interesting it’s nice to hear the accurate telling of what is known before the men vanished - I’ve only heard the embellished account - thanks for actually putting in effort and research on this instead of just regurgitating the usual account !

Masterfully done as always. I look forward to these videos. And although this one was covered before, I enjoy the new version just as much. You cannot make these videos fast enough for us.👍

Maybe their moustaches caught fire whilst trying to light their pipes together in the storm and they all instinctively jumped into the ocean?
