I have a mexicola too. I have seaweed powder (1-0-4) that says mix 1 tsp per gallon of water. Is this what you put down weekly? I'm in N. Calif. and have an older tree that has fruit on it for the first time, though they are tiny right now.

Yes, that is a good mix. I put real seaweed from the ocean as well (bury it in the soil).

Both, but I only spray on the leaves at night.

Thanks very much. About 12 yrs ago the tree went thru a cold snap and look like it died but came back the next year with green branches. I did not think it would ever produce and was frustrated thinking it would just be a shade tree. I guess the bees finally found their way to it, or maybe wasps since there are lots of those here.

Hmmmm.... I never thought of growing next to it, but bees might be TOO attacted to the rosemary. Amazing how much they love Rosemary.

I've heard that honey mixed with water and then sprayed on the tree works too, but I think that may attract ants.
