Bee farmer championing sustainable livelihoods and conservation environment using FMNR

Barasa embarked on his journey with World Vision’s Farmer Management Natural Regeneration programme in 2011. There, he delved into beekeeping while re-greening and conserving his environment.
Following various capacity-building trainings and engagements, the 62-year-old has successfully established a thriving market for his honey products, both locally and internationally.
His efforts have not only brought economic prosperity but have also sparked a wave of empowerment among the young people in his community, equipping them with the skills and opportunities needed to forge their own sustainable livelihoods.
