This beauty from The Midnight Special is a song they performed as little boys in Australia. Mo said their dad would often play Mills Brothers records at home and he laughed that he thought their Dad wanted them to be three little Mills brothers. As children, they were performing to adult crowds in clubs. This and "Alexander's Ragtime Band" are a couple of the tunes they would sing that famous harmony with. Barry's wonderful voice is so full and controlled, and all their harmony is about as good as I've heard it. And it's LIVE. They were just delightful. Robin's smile and love of the straw hat is a must see. Mo's very last note, when he slides up high is a wonder. Love this.

I am crazy about this video. I go back and watch it whenever I need a pick-me-up. You get to hear the harmonies and each brother's contribution, but I love the line "no one here can love or understand me" where they sing together in their normal voices. They blend so well. Thanks for posting this.

Oh Chad I've been waiting for you to do your reaction to this one by the Brothers. It's one of my all time favorites of their performances. I watch it pretty much everyday. I LOVE it so much!! How adorable are they in those cute hats..around that one mic..(my fave way for them to sing) singing their perfect harmonies. They can sing anything..and it becomes their song. Chad - Such a fun performance 👍! They made everything look SO easy when it really wasn't! This song goes way back to the 1920's. Another song from TMS was "Turn of the Century" that has an old time vibe but written by them. They sang flawlessly AND made it FUN! Too many performers take themselves way too seriously. Disco band my butt.

It’s impossible for me to watch this just one time as well. I always hit replay every time I watch it. And I added the audio to my BeeGees playlist. I really liked how you added the bye bye’s so the flashing black screen wasn’t as distracting. You always go the extra mile for us. You’re the best!

Great to see this. Many years later someone asked them to sing, 'Bye,bye Blackbird', I was surprised when Robin refused because he couldn't remember the harmonies. I understand now!

Yes, ma'am, I finally am. It was 102° today so, before I retreated to my cool 76° home, I had to water the poor plants (must be done daily or lose them at this point) and I will NOT let them die after pampering them every winter year in and year out putting them in a warm garage and freezing my rear end off taking care of them. Even water can't save them all, however. In the 15 years that I've lived at this location I have NEVER had to hide sun loving plants in shady areas of my backyard. The sun is just that intense. It's just awful. And I so tired because I worked 7-4 yesterday and 7-12 today on my day off because the warehouse is just a mess, overrun with too much merchandise. Next day off isn't until Friday. Pray for me because it's not even the holidays yet. God only knows how we're going to get through the holidays if it's this bad already.

@@lauriebarnes2999 Crazy heat here too. Earlier today at the Lawrence airport the heat index was 134. That is about 25 miles from me, so not sure about here at my house, but the actual temperature is finally under 100. No relief coming for the entire week. I go out after dark and water plants. I was out just long enough for groceries this morning. It's hard to even breathe. I get tired just thinking about your schedule. At least I sit at work and don't have to lift anything. Take it easy tonight and try to have a good week.

You have no idea how happy it made me when I saw you had a video reacting to this performance! I love it so incredibly much because, I think, they're so adorable with those hats and the way they're having fun on stage, Barry looks absolutely gorgeous, and they sound absolutely amazing in this song, even with just one mic, one guitar, and three voices! This has been one of my absolute favorite YT videos ever since the Midnight Special channel released it and I've watched it countless times, many of those times being twice or, even, a few times in a row. And, almost every time I come across it, I just have to watch it. It never fails to put a smile on my face! I love that you had to watch it twice - and not just once in this video and, then, again off of the video but twice in the video!

Ahhhhh, miss all 3 of them singing together. This was a fun one. And it is obvious they felt that way too! Growing up my siblings and I would sing and even harmonize. Dad played the mandolin and/or sometimes the guitar. Two of my sisters actually played the accordion (believe it or not), one brother played a clarinet, one a guitar, another sister played guitar (and has an amazing singing voice)..of course not everyone played their instruments at the same time, but we still had fun! Family is important. I’m glad they saw through their differences and remained friends as well as brothers. Thanks again, Chad.
